"Mediocre" SAT II's

I didn't do as well as I had hoped on my Oct tests. My writing score is very low, it seems, especially for Columbia. I want to retake it, but am not so sure I can do much higher. I plan on taking Spanish in December and might retake Writing. Did I screw myself over by doing "poorly" on my II's?:
760 US
690 IIC
640 Writing !!!!

I have a 1370 (740 M) 17/242, 3.625/4.333. Going RD. Do I still have a chance?

I got a 700 lit, 690 US, and 620!!!! writing, and I'm applying ED so I can't take it over, so it seems I might be a lil mroe screwed than you. BUT then again, on my SAT I ( highest m-710, highest v-800), it makes it seem even more incongruous, so I don't know how they're goign to look at my writing score. Hopefully, beign that im on the newspaper both school and real, get A's in AP english, my SAT I verbal score, and a well -written essay will allow for them to pass over my writing score. You should be ok though because you can take your writing again.

Yeah, but I don't think I can improve. I thought I wrote a good essay, but it was probably only a 8 or maybe a 9. Even if I improve my grammar, I can only get a high 600...but I gotta try, right?

I got a low writing score earlier too. The grammer stuff is fine and I did it okay. But then for some reason they just skipped my essay, giving it a 0 and gave me an overall 590. I rewrote it and got 740. I would reatke it if I were you, they really only look at the top scores.
