Hey

Currently taking princeton review and I'm trying to bump it up to:
700 (math) (I understand most if not all the problems, it's just careless mistakes that comes back to bite me in the .. lol), 650 reading, 650 writing

SAT II: 650 us history, 620 math IC (retaking math in november)

APs:

Schools applying to:

NYU (stern) - reach
Carnigie Mellon - reach
Boston College (Brother goes there) - reach
Villanova - slight reach
Babson - slight reach
Rutgers - safety

and maybe..
U of Michigan
U of Chicago
UC Berk

Let me know what you think. Thanks

**trying to be a business major.. maybe in entrepreneurship or management

imricerxx:

UCB: Reach (out of state)

bump >>>>>

All I can say is us mediocre people will rise above! :D

^ Indeed! Well, I think your assessments are pretty spot-on.

Might add Holy Cross to the list-very good alumni network in business world.

thanx for your input guys.. Holy Cross.. really haven't heard about that school before x_X

Looking at your numbers I definetely think you can get into Babson, Bentley, Villanova and if you can improve you uw gpa and SAT's even Boston College. I would say the list is properly categorizes with Babson, Villanova and you might wanna add Bentley to the list of slight reaches and BC, NYU, Wharton etc... being reaches.

Good luck

awesome.. :) My unweighted should go up a bit.. maybe to a 3.41 or 3.42

A bit offtopic, but what are the chances of a person with a rank of 340 out of 347 getting into an ivy?

^ 0, unless they won the olympics, and have a 2400 SAT score.

hmmm you are in range for a LOT of colleges, lol I guess the mediocre summation was apt. Try like Wheaton (Ma.), or B.U. instead of B.C., B.C. is definately a reach, and I don't mean to dash your hope, but you won't get in (apply anyway Im in the same boat with my reaches). I wish I could be of more help but the only schools I even know about are all in Massachusetts (where Im from)

oo gotcha, thanks for the tip though. The major reason I'm applying to Boston College is because my brother goes there lol

unfortunately having your brother at BC won't do you any good. Definetely apply to BC though along with Boston University, Bentley, Babson and that way you will definetely have a school in Boston to pick from.

Dunk, why do you think having a brother there won't help. I think it could help indirectly if you talk about how you've gotten to know the school better through the eyes of your brother. I mean it probably does not count as a "legacy" but it's gotta help somehow. I would bring it up .... can't hurt.

yea tru, it can possibly help and it won't hurt.. but I definitely won't emphasize on it too much
