"Meet the Campus" with John Heavey, Episode 6

A little "enjoy the spring weather" profile on the quad before the following interviews:

Howard Dean: On March 25, former governor of Vermont and former chairman of the Democratic National Committee joined the HWS President's Forum Series.

Cerri Banks: Banks earned her master's degree in cultural foundations of education and a Ph.D. in cultural foundations of education from Syracuse University.

John Monaghan: A double major in Political Science and Public Policy, Monaghan serves on the Colleges' Commission on Inclusive Excellence and the Debate Team.

HWS: Experience HWS

I have loved how John Heavey is so tongue-in-cheek when he takes off his glasses and calls himself "the most powerful name in news" or when, like the legendary journalist Edward R. Morrow, he says "Goodbye and good luck!". He makes me chuckle but he didn't say that this time, just "thanks for stopping by." I hope his humor didn't rub people the wrong way as I've found his snapshots of HWS to be fun and informative.

Clarification: I spelled Edward R. Murrow’s name wrong and the journalist actually said “good night and good luck.” My goof!

I’ve got to be honest - I roll my eyes and shake my head every time I hear one of those wisecracks. Sure, those videos are a nice look at some people on campus - I either know personally or have heard of most of them - but I get the feeling they make us look a little amateurish. My own two cents, of course.
