Memory lane

Lurking since late 2003. I found it looking for SAT information and found the "music" parents. Then I posted. It caused a planned trip to the states and visits to campuses in the east and west for son and I. What a fun summer. My son found the school where he now attends because of this site. This place and its people have been so helpful through every step of the way including first year information. It gives me a link back home.

NewMassDad...didn't realize you moved. Yeah, you and I were around on here since 2002 as several others as well who still remain.

It is interesting about others now posting about the PR site. I also found that one first and like what others are saying, I barely ever posted there....probably like 3 times. I lurked. However, it was nothing like this board. It obviously was barely moderated. The free for all had such antagonistic posts. Yes, I recall HTH. And also just raunchy posts and arguments. Lots to sift through to find the valuable stuff. It wasn't that organized at the time either. It really wasn't as much of a "community". Also the parent forum there wasn't that active, and NOTHING like this. A HUGE difference, in my opinion, is the moderation. The fact that CC is moderated as it is, is what allows it to be the kind of community it is. It is far safer to post here, and much more civil (usually...particularly in the non political posts). Problem, however, with finding CC, is that I can't leave! :D
