Hey everyone! So after some more thinking and actually reading through a book showing sample essays of students, I decided against doing anything related to my uncle. I have come up with a much better way to show who I am and think my new topic will be much more insightful.

My daughter asked an admissions officer the same question, in regard to her ill brother. She was told NOT to include the story in her essay, but to put it in the “Additional Info” section, since his last relapse definitely traumatized her and affected her grades.
