Merit-based Aid

Hello! I’m a junior in high school and in the process of searching for schools. The most important factor for me is the availability of scholarships. I don’t qualify for need-based aid, but I have strong academics, and I was wondering if anyone could give me information on what kinds of academic scholarships are available at MMC. It’s also nice I suppose to know about talent-based scholarships, but I’m a girl so I know the competition for those is stiff. I’m more curious about academic scholarships. Any and all information would be helpful
Thanks!

There’s this one:

Freshman Academic Excellence Award
Candidates must enter as a new freshman and submit SAT scores of 1150 (Math and Critical Reading combined) or higher and 3.0 GPA or higher. Students must be a US citizen or permanent resident, degree-seeking and full-time. Eligible students receive $8,000 per year.

There’s also a leadership scholarship, but it involves some extra classes and activities. My D’s freshman year roommate has this scholarship, and she said her roommate was really busy with stuff outside of her regular class schedule.

amyklaut - there are also talent scholarships available based on auditions, but I believe these may be need based also.
