Merit-Based Scholarships

I am a Lanier Scholarship winner, which pays for full tuition. Does anyone here know if it's likely that I will get some more money in merit-based scholarships to help with the 15K or so for room and board and other fees?

if you're national merit you'll get 2k more.

if you have financial need, it will be based on the full cost (45k) so you could still get need-based loans/grants to help cover the rest if you demonstrate that you need it.

dont be greedy man - 15k to go to vandy is a steal.

Well, it's really not being greedy, 15K is still a lot of money.

Vanderbilt does not give out room and board merit-based scholarships...only by financial need can you be granted this money from Vandy. You can try accumulating outside scholarships, however, to pay for room & board.

Yeah I'd say that's greedy. 15k is a lot more than most of us are paying.

He's not greedy. My parents wouldn't let me attend Vandy (or anywhere for that matter) if it costed $15k.

It really depends on what financial situation you are in.
