I am an international student and I was admitted for the fall semester 2015 as an incoming freshman.

Since the out-of-state tuition is quite expensive, I was wondering if international students are considered for any scholarships at Purdue.

So yeah, my question is:

Are int'l students considered for merit scholarship? for need-based scholarship?

If yes is the answer, are int'l students automatically considered for those scholarships w/o any separate application?

I don’t think int’ls can get need-based aid from Purdue.

On Purdue’s scholarship page it says:
Only domestic students are eligible for the scholarships described above. Domestic students include U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, permanent resident aliens, and aliens lawfully present in and able to establish domicile in the United States per federal immigration laws. International students who hold F, J, and some other visa types are not eligible.

The above is from the Purdue website. It doesn’t look like Purdue offers any aid to international students from their own funds. And international students are not eligible for U.S. federally funded monies. It looks like only private scholarship sources are possible.
