Anyone have any idea when those who are already accepted will find out about any merit awards?

Im pretty sure they are finishing up the packets and will be mailing them out soon. Do you read the CofC admission blogs?...they are helpful.

I just checked my CougarTrail account and saw that they had updated it. You have to look under the financial aid section where it says "accept awards." I checked my CofC webmail account, and it was NOT on there.

Money is listed under Accept awards, nice!

Sons merit award was on the Cougar Trail today. Yup, check awards section. This is the first time you can use the 2008-2009 dates.

Crazed, do you mean it is listed under 2008-2009 or 2009-2010?

emails were also sent out. It is listed under 2009-10 Accept awards under Financial aid. Check your cougar email account as well.

What were you guy's stats?

OOps, yes, make that 2009-2010.
I don't think my son is checking the CofC email. They didn't send an email to his regular email address.

STATS:
31 ACT composite
3.82 Weighted GPA. Unweighted is similar as only 3 AP's included.
4 AP's this school year

This was a nice, safe school for him. Has one of the majors he wants but not the major he will likely pursue so I doubt he'll attend or even give it consideration. Son got into top one of his top 3 choices. Waiting on those other 2 which I expect him to get in. Will wait for merit awards on those 2 are expensive private schools.

Good luck to all.

Right they only give 3.5k and full tuition scholarships, is there any in between?

what is the average that cofc gives, and what did everyone get?

$7250, which is OK since it is a state school.
Academic plus presidential scholarship.

Crazed...are you in or out of state?

If there arent any scholarships on my cougartrail does that mean i dont get anything????

We got the ~$7,500 award. Not enough for us since we are OOS. Clemson award was much more generous.

For those who asked......OOS.

Just peachy- The blog stated it could take them until sometime in March to get all the scholarships up on the website, so just keep checking. Can you get on to 2009-10?

yes i can get into 2009-2010 but it says.... "You do not have any award information for the selected award year."

Good point about the blog mentioning it would be up in march at the latest.

I also got $7250, and I am OOS as well.

Got $17,400 OSSF

Rocket- That's great!!!! Makes it extremely affordable!
Was it all merit or any of it financial need?
Stats? Just curious.

All merit, made honors college
