<p>Does anybody know if Messiah college's music education program is any good? I only have one other college I'm looking at (Slippery Rock University) and I was told to look into Messiah. I was also wondering if anyone knew anything about the musical theatre, even though it's new for 2012. Thank you!</p>

<p>Messiah’s Department of Music is actually very strong. With 120 undergraduate music majors, a world class faculty, and a brand new 35 million dollar fine arts facility opening in January 2013, Messiah is a fantastic place to do your study. The musical theatre major is new but everyone is really excited about it. With the new facilities, the Theatre Department will expand a great deal and their new facilities (new black box theatre, dressing rooms, etc) are going to be amazing. Messiah puts on great musicals every year, but with the new degree, everyone is really excited about the potential. You should come to campus for a visit!
