When the MFOS scholarship application first came out I had not received it, but my friend told me about it and I realized that I qualified for it. So I contacted the MFOS director and he told me that I wasn’t being considered for it because I was classified as a non-resident of Florida. I quickly changed it and I applied for it and submitted it by 03/26 and I was missing paperwork and they just updated it and “accepted” it by 04/09. What does the “accepted” column mean? That they reviewed it and it just shows that I have all the required paperwork submitted?
I was looking at previous discussions and saw that some people said it was based on first come first serve? Is this true? If it’s true does that mean I have no chance at getting the scholarship now since I submitted it so late? Also, does anybody know if someone who has an EFC of 0 has a higher chance of getting the scholarship?
Also when do we typically find out about the scholarship? Is it before May 1st when we have to accept/decline their offer? Or much later? This scholarship would be an amazing thing to get and would take care of the 10k in loans that I was offered. I have an EFC of 0 and my mom makes $16k a year
