Could i get into Miami university with a 3.38 gpa and a 26 act if i am applying early decision?
There is a lot more than just ACT and GPA.
What major are you applying for?
With those statistics, I would have to kindly say that you wouldn’t have a good chance. You would need to improve your GPA and build a strong application that lists your community services, essays, extracurricular activities, etc.
If you have a good over all portfolio, then you would have a good chance of making it.
I am planning on majoring in elementary education.
activities:
- varsity swimming (4 years)
- national charity league (1 year)
- angel outreach (3 years)
- freshman soccer (1 year)
- CSP swimming (4 years)
- Friends of wings charity youth board (4 years)
- hockey cheerleader (2 years)
- yearbook club (2 years)
- chinese honors society (2 years)
- chinese club (4 years)
- lifeguarding summer job (2 years)
hoping to get my act up to a 27 or 28
Late response, I know, but I got into Miami with a 26 ACT and a 3.9 GPA. I was in AP/Honors classes, NHS, a community service club, marching band and did some stuff outside of school, but that’s about it. Now, I didn’t apply early decision but I did apply early action. But, the funny thing is, I was given notice of my admittance only 3 days after the early decision kids found out. They told me that my academic credentials were so outstanding that they wanted to let me know early. (Like 2 months early). So yeah, you have room from improvement but don’t give up hope!
