Impressive win against a solid Illinois team on the road. The game was not as close as the score suggests. Michigan wasted at least 17 points in missed field goals and poor redzone offensive play. We should have won this one 48-14 at the very least.

We enter our last two games of the season, both home games, with an 8-2 record. Assuming Denard is not seriously injured, I think 9-3 is realistic. Nebraska looks good, but I think OSU is winnable.

With several teams ranked between 12-23 losing over the least couple of days (PSU, Texas, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati), Michigan should enter next week's game ranked in the top 20.

Impressive defense, Fitz was impressive; BUT, the QB play is just plain poor. I’m glad Devin got one in there late but Denard almost seems like he is seeking to set a turnover record. Thankfully the defense made IL look horrible but, against a good team the QB play will need to be 100% better. That to me is disappointing when you come in the year with the 2010 B1G player of the year.

The blocking wasn’t there. It looked like they adjusted to what we were doing and we didn’t adjust to the adjustments. I assume Hoke was concerned about the win. Defense played great. Our defense made Illinois burn a lot of clock on their last touchdown drive which basically sealed their fate.

Defense is playing GREAT right now, and neither Nebraska nor ohio have good offenses. Denard is really playing poorly. I’m not sure I’m a fan of Borges’ play calling though, we all know Denard is just a plain bad passing QB. He is running too few designed runs with him. Toussaint has been playing really well lately though, so that’s a big boost. Honestly if Denard steps it up even just a little bit, I see UM winning both of these games.

Yeah but we ain’t gonna play in the Big Ten title game unless we win out and Sparty loses it’s next two games (Indiana and Northwestern) which is basically IMPOSSIBLE.

True, but northwestern has been playing well, I can see them knocking off state in Evanston. Wisconsin is probably gonna steamroll whoever they face in Indy anyway, so chances are if we win out these next two UM will end up in a better bowl than MSU
