I was wondering that if my counselor submitted the mid-year report on the commonapp, should I still self report my grades on the USC portal?
Also, USC uses your self reported grades from 9-11th grade that you report on the CommonApp. In my junior year, I took AP English language but I didn’t label it as AP on the self report. How do I address this issue? Should I ask my counselor to submit an optional report via the commonapp? Can I submit something on the USC portal?
Yes, you should update them on your portal, just to show you care if nothing else. They will use your transcripts and see the English class is an AP. If you want you can look up your adivisor and just send a brief note if you like - don’t over explain it, just say you realized the AP class was not identified/marked as such on the CA, but the transcript would reflect it properly. I don’t think that is absolutely necessary, but it wouldn’t hurt either, and may make ya feel better. Good luck!
