Hi
I am a econ major junior(soon to be a senior) from one of top 35~45 schools(us news).
I am considering many career paths and ib is one of them.
I am seeing a lot of posts that say there is no chance to get into top ibanking firms unless 3.5+or 3.7+ gpa from top school. So I am not much thinking about those.
However, I was wondering what about the middle market firm in one of mid-to large-size cities such as pittsburgh, pa? Do they expect same "quality" applicant as big guys?
I have 3.2x gpa(top 35~45 schools by us news)with one internship with real estate investment company and spent two years in a foreign army. Do I have chance for middle market or regional investment firms in mid- to large size cities(not nyc, sf, chicago, or la)?

Most firms recruit through your school’s career office. Make an appt to see a counselor there and look for a summer internship as soon as possible.

I’m guessing here but looking at your location is it UC Davis? (#38)?
