Middlebury College Regular Decision Class of 2022

Hey,just wanted to create this discussion since I couldn’t find one…

I applied ED I and I was deferred to the RD round. I read that decisions are released on March 24th at 8am EST. 3 weeks from tomorrow!

Confirming - website has March 24 listed at the RD decision date (no specific time given, so @macd123 - where did you see that? Did anyone receive an email from the school with the notification date/time information?

@InquiringMom3 - I believe I read that on a thread somewhere. If it helps, I learned of my ED decision at 8am EST on Saturday, December 9th. I would think that RD would also be at 8am.

Thanks for the information. All the best to you!

Someone on ■■■■■■■■■■■ posted that the decisions will be sent out on March 24. Checked the Middlebury portal and nothing there – BUT if you check Middlbury’s admissions deadline site (http://www.middlebury.edu/admissions/apply/deadlines), it is posted there. We have not received any communication/email directly from Middlebury about it. Have any of you?

They sent an email out in the middle of Jan re: Financial Aid deadlines. In the same email, they had info about the 24th date

Your application decision will be available online March 24, 2018 after 8:00 AM ET.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to go online to learn of their admissions decision since letters are only mailed to students being offered admission. Students offered a place on the wait list and those denied admission to Middlebury do not receive mailed letters.

I sent their admissions an email updating an impressive award I just won, they replied with an email address named “admit” instead of “admissions.” Does that mean anything or am I just being too anxious?

Far too anxious.

Two weeks!

A week! A loooooong Week!!

Waitlisted at UChi and Bowdoin today…Middlebury, I REALLY need you to pull through! Fingers crossed for everyone!

@Ashtach Can you please share your stats

So nervous…I have a 1440 though so I’m pretty much expecting rejection

@adamkh1000 3.83 UW, 4.2 W, 33 ACT, non-ranking, but the highest GPA that has applied to Midd from my school was a 4.3 and they accepted a 3.9 W (non-athlete, so idk, lol), …I built a really solid relationship with Midd admissions, but didn’t put any effort into est. a relationship Bowdoin admissions, soooo, that might’ve made a difference. Best of luck to you and everyone!

@Qalinq Why do you feel that way? That’s equivalent to a 33 on the ACT…essentially every year, except last, 33 was the 75% and 30 is 25%…last year was 34, but that’s not too much of a difference. Yes, it’s probably recruits that bring it down, but that score is perfectly qualified for Midd. Don’t lose hope!

You can compare you SAT breakdowns to Midd’s Common Data Sets over the years: http://www.middlebury.edu/offices/administration/planning/mdata/history/cds

I know page 9 is scores for 2017-2018, but check out the others as well…

Did everyone get this exact email with the message on the bottom? The bottom message seems a little dreary. This is me overthinking everything, haha

@HappySquirrel Too anxious. I’ve updated a few times since the first few days of January & it’s always been the admit address:)

I wish this board were more active
