Middlebury demographics

Is Middlebury diverse? Do different ethnic groups integrate?

One more question, is the Greek scene dominant on campus? That would be a turnoff for me.

For a small liberal arts college, I think Midd is quite diverse. Over 70 countries are represented, and we have very active international student and minority groups. As for the Greek scene, Middlebury doesn't have the Greek system per se. They did away with it 10-20 years ago. We have co-ed social houses instead, some of which are still affectionately known by their Greek letter names. House membership is generally larger than the physical house can accomodate, so you don't have to live at the house to be a member. The social houses provide most of the parties on campus, but I'm not much of a partyer myself and I am still busy and having fun on the weekends. There is also a sub-free social house that is devoted to non-alocholic party options on the weekends.
