Middlebury

What are the chances of getting off the wait list at Middlebury?
And what's better: Bowdoin or Hamilton?

People seem to be saying that 40 applicants got in off the waitlist last year but some years have been none. Bowdoin is generally considered to be better than Hamilton academincally and the location near the ocean and Portland is more appealing, I think.

Bowdoin, much higher rated, students happier, more selective, top 10 small LAC.
Midd 42 last year, zero the year before, 40 ish the year before that. Go to Bowdoin and make someone happy.

Actually, the waitlist has been:

42 for the 2009-2010 school year (Class of 2013)
49 for the 2008-2009 school year (Class of 2012)
0 for 2007-2008 (Class of 2011)
54 for 2006-2007 (current seniors)
38 for 2005-2006 (Class of 2009)

if you’re rich you might get in off the waitlist.

bowdoin is much better than hamilton
