Does Georgia require a midterm report?

For RD and deffered EA applicants, yes.

i think you're wrong
i think it's optional for deferred EA
i have to call about that though... they want everything in on monday but my midterms only start on wednesday...

Remember, Monday is MLK day. Schools (at least here) and Post offices are closed.

Yes, Banis, officially it is optional. However if no new information is supplied, your chances of admission are reduced, in most cases. There are some cases however where the applicant just wasn't strong enough in EA, but competes well in the RD pool. I wouldn't risk it though.

my new information is essays
should i let them know that i wont have my grades probably until the 25th?

midyear grade report is due 2/1

I decided not to submit my mid-year report as I made one D and a C in two Ap classes... and although my overall GPA went up slightly... I'd rather not let them see poor grades. (Although I'm making A's now... last semester had some interesting complications)

I'm not sure how confident you are in your assumption that lack of a mid-year report reduces your chances... I certaintly hope not... and since it is purely optional, I wouldnt think it should.

Regardless, hopefully my 2040 and 3.45 will help. and I feel really good about my essays.

Crossing my fingers!

I think the deadline for the mid-year report is February 1, but I'm not sure if it's absolutely required for EA applicants to submit one.

but the whole point of gaining admissions to a place is to show UGA that you want to be there. Not submitting a key aspect in the decision seems bad to me
