I submitted my RD application on 11/30, in time to qualify for the Trustee scholarship, which I did write an essay for. I just got around today to setting up my ApplicantLink account, and it says my application is incomplete since my Mid-Year Report has not been sent in yet. Obviously it has not since my high school’s first semester doesn’t end up late January. This is the only thing that has not been sent yet. Will my application still be considered to meet the scholarship deadline?
Most school’s midyear reports don’t come out until January. BU knows this. Does it specifically say “incomplete” or does it just say that they’re needed? I applied ED and got my application link before my first quarter grades came out and it just said that grades from my first marking period were needed and to send them as soon as they’re available. I assume they want midyear grades for all RD candidates regardless of whether or not they’re applying for the trustee scholarship. Since the RD due date is January 4, they probably expect to not receive some students’ midyear reports until a few weeks later. They probably mean your grades needed for your overall application, not just your trustee app. They have to decide whether or not to admit someone before they consider them for any scholarships. Admission letters don’t come out until spring. You got time. Just send them whenever they’re available, or if you’re really worried contact admissions.
@connorp i sent admissions an email the other day asking the exact same thing. they said that the midyear report on the application status check is just a reminder, but as long as you had everything else in you were considered for scholarships.
Thanks for clearing that up @17anddreaming. I really appreciate it.
