Ahhh. My school forgot to send my mid-year report to them because they were swamp with so many they lost my sheet for Brown. They said they can send it out Monday possibly or Tuesday. Does this hurt my chances? I didn’t know about the problem becuase the website said file complete so I assumed my mid-year was fine.

don't worry- if you check the thread about Brown's admissions schedule- it says that they don't make any final decisions until later in the month. so I think that it should be fine if they mail it out early this week. Good luck :)

Did anyone's website say file complete despite not having the midyear sent in?

yes, it did.

Not your fault so it can't be used against you. Have your school fax them.

Zante, i think everyone on CC needs to know that....
Just because your guidance department is incompetent doesn't mean you are. Colleges know that. So if your school somehow screwed up, it really truly won't be held against you. =)

wil they call youir school and check, because I know that there's a big delay between when the site shows stuff and when they actually receive it.

I don't think they usually call your school, they are pretty busy. But if you're really worried you can call or have your gc call.
When I was missing a rec I told my gc and she just faxed them a copy.

no, if they're missing something from your school they'll usually call the GC office to check on it...happened to me (scared the crap out of me at first, i thought i did something wrong lol)

yeah man, that would be scary

what if they called and said you were horrible or something...

anyways, hopefully all those unchecked midyear report boxes on my online status pages will be checked soon
