Pretty strong chance. How often does your school send kids to Princeton?

T26E4 gave you great advice to the same query on the Yale thread.

Your athletics could be your ticket in – depending on how good you are.

Each coach has a small number of admission slots, and the coach would have no trouble getting you in with your academics.

If you’re division I material, the coach could get you in with far lower academic numbers. If you’re not a DI prospect, the admissions office will view your athletics like any other activity.

If you’re interested in swimming or running in college, talk to your coach(es) – and now is the time. Discuss what level you are reasonably qualified for, and then work out a plan that includes summer camps or other competitions.

If athletics are important to you, my advice has always been to go to the best academic school where you can still compete, and if that means Division III (Williams, Amherst, and their kin are pretty strong academically, too), aim for a top D3 school.
