Minerva KGI! Results/Decisions

Anyone heard back from Minerva this year? I can’t seem to find a Results page here. Current students, please feel free to chime in!

Your name fits (at least the anxious part). I had to google Minvera KGI, had no idea what that was. The Minerva I know is where my D uploads application documents for McGill. May not be a huge population that applied on here, so hang in there and see if someone posts.

Just realize Minerva only accepts like a hundred out of three thousand.

Ya, the good thing about CC is there is always something to learn from it.

Pretty sure Minerva has the lowest acceptance rate in the country. Not only that but not many people apply in the first place. I think it will be pretty hard to find other people who applied.

I applied and got in, happy to answer any questions about the application process

Nice dude!!! congrats!

@CactusUsername Congratulations! My DD just submitted her application on the 14th and it was probably the only application she actually enjoyed completing. I think you are in for a very fulfilling college experience.

@Capecodder2014 Thank you! I loved the application – I think more schools should move toward Minerva’s admissions model

@ethanwatson4 Thanks!

Amazing congrats!!

@CactusUsername Congrats! Did you apply for RD1 or ED?

@asharapov RD1

@CactusUsername but RD1 decisions are to be released on the 1st of April?!

@uwbxk8397 Yeah that’s what I thought too, but my email came on March 15th

@CactusUsername Congrats! How long after you applied did you hear back with the decision? My son applied when he found out about the school, but it wasn’t until this month, and we were just wondering how late we should expect. (Of course they say April 26 but was hopeful it might be earlier)

@momof3co I submitted my application the day it was due (January 17th I believe) and heard back March 15th). All of the decisions for that cycle came out on the same day so the exact day your son submitted probably doesn’t matter. Hard to say if you’ll hear back early since the speed at which they can review applications is dependent on how many people apply which isn’t public knowledge right now. Best of luck!

@CactusUsername Thank you, that’s very helpful. He didn’t even learn about the school early enough to apply before the RD2 round and it will be hard not to make a decision by that late decision date! But maybe they will come through earlier as yours did. Have you decided where you are going (is it there)?

@momof3co Yeah I completely understand, I probably would’ve been better off applying RD2 anyways since I found out about the program so late. I’m still waiting to hear from 8 more schools over the next week (mainly ivies and Stanford) but out of my current offers I’m undecided between Minerva and University of Chicago. I’m hoping Minerva’s admitted students weekend will help make the choice a little easier.

@CactusUsername That’s great! Yes, definitely go to all the admitted students weekends you can manage and keep an open mind and you will find the right place for you. Congrats on U of Chicago as well! My son’s waiting on 5 more as well (mainly Ivies + Stanford) so the next week should be interesting. Best of luck to you in your pursuits. I’m interested to hear the options that open up for you and what you decide!

Hi there, how did you feel about the challenges/tests during the admissions process? I think they are pretty difficult as my brain has to analyze the info differently. Also, how is life after admission?
