minimum GPA for USC.

Sorry- didn't mean to make you worry. Those are MEAN and MIDDLE 50% stats. That means there are some accepted out of those ranges. Statistically speaking, for every 2400 SAT accepted, there is a 1790 SAT accepted.

My theory is that all member here on CC do better than most applicants regardless of their stats because they are the go-getters. I really do wish you luck, princekarim. :)

Karim,
SC selects students in a holistic way. The admissions committee looks at the entire picture of the student. Some students are physically handicapped. Others have had to overcome great hurdles to achieve top grades. Some have been ill during high school, which can affect test scores. We do not know all the reasons students are admitted.
I have seen posts about disappointed students who have had scores of 2250 receive a rejection from SC. Also, keep in mind the cinema, music, communication and theatre schools are looking for talent, imagination, originality, innovation and creativity which may play a larger part in admittance than a test score.

If its any help, my S was rejected last year by USC with a 3.45 UW GPA, but with a lot of progression, and 2240 SAT's. EC's, recs, essays mediocre.

i am Asian too
I would like to know clearly what king of GPA and grades I should receive to go to USC.
Also, I would like to know what kind of extra-curricular activities i should do.

^ i dont think the 2010 profile is out yet but it should be around the same or a bit higher as the 2009 one, which is 3.8 UWGPA mean sat of 1990-2210

If gpa is not that big what does usc look for ?
