I just got in ED2 to Bucknell. I have a 3.36 UW GPA and a 4.04 W GPA. I have a 27 ACT. I have absolutely no hooks. I am an Asian Indian. I think my extracurriculars and passions as well as essays got me in. I was rejected by Claremont McKenna, deferred by UMiami, Tulane, and Santa Clara University and I finally got an acceptance in ED2 to Bucknell. When people on this website tell you not to apply, don’t listen because anything could happen and this is proof!
OP, did people really tell you not to apply to Bucknell or just let you know that it was a reach for you. I would never advise any kid to not apply somewhere but would let them know it was a reach. Also I would let them know if their list just had too many reaches and not enough matches and safeties. I’m glad Bucknell accepted you and you are happy! That’s the important part. Is it a good financial fit so that you can attend? I think it also helped that it’s a small university needing to add diversity and being an Asian Indian was actually an advantage for you there. For full pay, I’ve seen students with very low scores and grades get into very “competitive” (but not need blind and usually schools that game things for US news-like Wash U)
For a financial fit, I think I will get enough aid to attend based on the net price calculator.
My decision still hasn’t come in… This gives me so much anxiety

@class0f2017 I needed more. I’m applying for scholarships externally. 10,000 is in loans. I want to cover the loans

Thanks! I wanted to apply to the business school but I found on the website that it would be much harder to get in so I applied for English. If I get in and attend Bucknell, I hope I can add a business major too
