Misdemeanors

Hello, I hope this is the right area to be posting this, but i received a summons in February of my junior year of high school, (I'm a senior now). It was for public consumption, and I mailed in the fine. Is there any way to get this removed or expunged, I have no other criminal record or incidents. If not, am i pretty much screwed for all colleges, or can the explanation really make a difference.

I think they ask about arrests and convictions on the application. A summons is different - it’s comparable to a traffic or parking violation. I don’t think you need to mention it, but don’t take my word for it. Read the wording on the Common App (or any others you’re filling out). I don’t think that a summons is an arrest.

I don’t think it counts.
When I looked at Common App, it asked about arrest, convictions and major things, not like parking violation or something…
Ask your GC.
