Missed Interview!

Hey everyone!

I had originally scheduled an info session/tour/interview back in the fall but had to cancel due to unexpected illness. I had sent an email to admit@admissions.rochester.edu two days in advance, but never received any response. I've heard that Rochester holds interviews in high regards, and I can't imagine the repercussions for missing your interview without explanation.

That being said, will my application be hurt in any way, shape or form due to the missed interview? Is it possible that admissions overlooked my email?

Also, I live in NJ, but I still haven't received any letter or notification. My application is in step 4 on the online portal. Does this mean I'll hear next week in the 3/22 round (or the rejection round)?

Thanks in advance!

NJCollegeBound1… You should call your counselor to explain. Missing an interview without explanation is not going to destroy your chances of being admitted, but it may have a negative impact on the review of your application. I do not know whether or not the e-mail was received, but you should call to confirm.

Can’t speak for Rochester but my daughter missed her interview at Brandeis, could not reschedule because it was too late by the time she tried, and still got in.
