Hi. I submitted my application on 1/1. However, I only got the portal account to check the status of my app on 1/3. So I found out that some stuffs are missing like my my IELTS, which is coming out soon… Is it too late to submit them now?
Thank you.
You definitely should still submit them. You should probably try to submit any of these materials you possibly can by Monday, and then send an email to the admissions telling them what you’ve just submitted, listing anything that is not there (like the IELTS) and telling them when they can expect it.
I feel so screwed since their deadline for EVERYTHING is 1st Jan :<
Most colleges recognize that some elements of an application (like transcripts, letters of recommendation or test scores) may come a bit after the main application. Applicants are still considered when everything is in. I haven’t seen anything on the Brandeis website that says they won’t be like that. (Of course, they don’t say they WILL be like that either, but most schools are.)
I did complain a bit on another thread about how Brandeis moved up their CSS Profile deadline (and, it happens, their FAFSA deadline) to Jan. 1, which is a month before any comparable school I’ve seen. Hopefully, Brandeis is putting deadlines at Jan. 1 in order to have as much time as possible to evaluate things, and not to penalize anyone who doesn’t get every single thing in by then.
