I just checked what classes CalPoly SLO wanted me to take prior to transfer and it just dawned on me that they had listed History of Ancient Civilizations as a required course. It is the only course articulated as required that I was unable to take. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is the only one I am missing if it is going to ruin my chances completely. I am a communications major and I currently holding a 3.9GPA. I won’t be able to take the class in the Spring so I am very afraid that I just messed up. Does anyone have any idea how detrimental this is? Or am I overreacting a bit?
From the SLO transfer website:
Sounds like the omission of this course will be detrimental to your chances for an acceptance.
Why don’t you try to find the course online from a community college? Most of the Spring semesters don’t start until Feb 3rd and many have classes starting as late as April 15th (8 week class schedule).
