I took AP Drawing Portfolio and me and my art teacher, who is a very long time AP Art teacher, were both confident I’d get a 5, but I only got a 3 after countless critiques and studying the rubric with my teacher and classmates, as well as a few rewards for my pieces. Is it possible to get a rescore? Is it possible there was a mistake? Who do I call/talk to about this? I’m starting art school in the next month and this is honestly devastating, especially with the HUGE amount of work I put into my portfolio.
No
No. Each portfolio is assessed by 2 graders; if there were a difference of more than a point, a head grader would be the final judge.
Nobody; it is what it is. Move on.
You can actually pay and get it rescored if you really want to. Look on collegeboard website. And same thing happened to me, I was confident I would get a 5 in drawing and only got a 3 ://
One can only get the multiple choice portion rescored, and since there is no MC for Studio Art, there is no option to get a rescore.
@skieurope let’s try and be nice. No need to rub salt in his/her wound!
@ssteffb no worries. Most people don’t even pass AP Studio at my school. I guess it kinda sucks you didnt get the score you wanted, but you’ll be able to make up for it in college. After all, an AP score doesn’t say much about your talent or creativity. From what I understand, the AP Studio exam is extremely technical.
