MIT and Video Games

A couple years ago, I took a trip to Boston and visited MIT and their museum, and I saw, in the front, this platforming game from South America which MIT help made. At that point, I’m wondering how involved in video games MIT is, including in their Computer Science courses.

Also, I had recently read a thread, dated 2009, which said that one could cross register with other schools. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/massachusetts-institute-technology/707173-visual-arts-at-mit.html#latest

Is that still true today?

I know MIT has a video game design course within Course 6 but I don’t know much about it. I’m thinking of taking it just for fun though.

And yes, MIT allows cross-registration.

My son loved this one.
It has money awards.

^oh yeah, forgot about IAP.

But Battlecode isn’t really a video game design contest (although it shares similarities) - the only time I watched it, the theme was similar to LoL.

I did Pokerbots last January which is another one of their IAP courses.
