Because the application only gives 5 spaces for ECs, is it better to diversify ECs or focus 2-3 lines on an activity?

Bump!!!!!!!!

Well, what sorts of ECs do you have? How many do you consider significant?

I put 5 different activities...

Write the ones which are the most significant. You don't need to diversify it. If you wrote that you'll likely be a computer science major, list your computer activities first. If the number of all your activities exceed five, write the rest under the question that asks you to write anything that you don't have space for. Hope that helped!

I wrote a resume to accompany my application and I discussed each of my EC's on it. I was a recommendation by my educational counselor since I would not have an interview. It worked :)

I wrote the main ones in the space and attached a supplementary resume..I guess it worked.

i thought they specify not to attach a resume

They do recommend not attaching a resume to the application. None of the students I know from my son's school who were accepted attached a resume, so it's really not necessary.

just arrange the 5 slots into categories instead and you should be fine
