MIT Blog Post about Homeschooled Applicants

Hi, everyone,

The blog of MIT admission officer Matt McGann

<a href="http://matt.mitblogs.com/%5B/url%5D">http://matt.mitblogs.com/</a>

now includes a long-promised entry about homeschooled applicants to MIT. The blog entry notes that it is not MIT's last word on the subject, but a first draft of something that will eventually appear on the MIT admissions Web site.

Read and enjoy. What do you think about what Matt wrote?

Fascinating. I am always interested in hearing from college folks. This MIT guy seems to have a positive outlook on homeschooled applicants from the tone of his blog. Obviously, the homeschooled students who have applied and attended MIT have done a great job of representing our community. Way to go guys!
