MIT Decisions Countdown Clock

I think it’s fixed now. Let me know if it’s not…sorry guys! Good luck to everyone!

I think it’s correct now. Thanks again :)

I think the best idea is still YES or NO in big, black, 100pt letters after you enter in your info. Then, you click through that screen to your formal decision letter.

But seriously, I also nearly had a heart attack when the letter popped up, because I didn’t know what to expect. I still do, when I apply to internships and scholarships that provide the decision without an interim screen : P

No problem baolong26_12. It’s nice to have a custom site in the colors of the school you really, really love. It gives you some feeling of a personal connection with the school (at least for me)…but don’t leave it open in a tab all day; you won’t get anything done!

lol it doesnt say go beavers anymore… LOL xD it used to. and i thought it was funny.

Hahaha, it does! Refresh the page a few times and you should see it…it cycles through a few sayings every time you refresh.

LOL. and why DOES it say beavers? traitorrrr!

The beaver is the MIT mascot:

[School Mascots: A beaver, a seal, and an engineer - The Tech](http://tech.mit.edu/V119/N26/mascots.26f.html)

… and whats the mascot for Caltech? i always thought caltech was beavers and mit engineers. well thats what their sports teams are called…

^ Both schools have beaver as the mascot : )

MIT should just have Tom Hanks go up there and be like “I’m Tom Hanks… Accepted.”

holy… both schools are beavers… so confusing!

Just over 4 days left …

Why wouldn’t they make an interim screen?
Hahaha I’m actually sort of upset about that, I need a break after I’m done typing my log-in to brace myself. Although I know that I’d probably just end up staring at my computer for like an hour before I dare to click… ah well.

^And indeed, there will be time to wonder, Do I dare, Do I dare?

I have my decision, but one of my v., v., v. best friends was deferred, so I’m expectantly waiting and avoiding pestering her.

Just about two days left!

[Countdown to MIT 2010 Regular Decision Results](http://e4-nyc.org/mitcountdown.html)

less than 48 hours!

I don’t think I can wait any longer… I hope to know results soon, even it’s a flat rejection!!!

does mit waitlist many people?

Here’s Matt’s blog post about last year’s waitlist: [MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: “More Information on the Waitlist”](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/apply/the_selection_process_application_reading_committee_and_decisions/more_information_on_the_waitli.shtml).
