@kachingkaching nah there’s still a lot of time slots for interview
They just added two weeks of interview time slots so if any of you guys are still waiting for one, you still have a chance!
is this for RD ^
How early before the deadline did you submit your app?
@slimegod the day before the deadline
@Acortez122 yep
For the interview is it skype call with face to face or just Audio?
Hi, just got accepted to Northwestern’s campus. Would there be a way to switch campuses? Also, what is the latest date by which I can accept my offer?
Thanks!
Via previous comment by @blackberries my interview was face to face over skype, fairly quick and my interviewer was super casual
@atlas74 oh cool that’s reassuring. did you have sahar ashfaq?
@atlas74 how many questions do they ask you and are they simple questions or do you need to elaborate and think harder on them? Thanks!
Does anyone know if its possible to be rejected before the admissions decisions deadline?
Does everyone get invited to interview?
Hey just making sure… do you get invited to do an interview via E-Mail or are you supposed to schedule one? If you’re supposed to schedule one, where do you schedule it? I couldn’t find anything like that on the homepage or the E-Mail LaunchX sent me…
@JP6201 If you get chosen for interview they send you an email invitation with a link to a site to schedule a time
guys! I just did poorly on my interview is there any way I can still get in?
@mso123 in what way did you do poorly?
I stumbled on one of the questions, and had to stop to recollect my thoughts. All the other questions were average.
I had Simran. She did have a list of 3-4 questions but it was more casual conversation. She was super awesome we just talked about the program and MIT in general. I got invited by email to schedule an interview. The questions were something like “how well do you work with a team” “one time you didn’t handle group work correctly” etc they’re simple it’s up to you just be yourself and show that you can be yourself around a stranger and get to know them in a matter of minutes. Good luck all! And hopefully my questions get answered.
@atlas74 Oh ok thanks!! I’m actually kinda excited for my interview tomorrow now lol. Once you are admitted you can’t switch dates or locations for any reason. They placed you partially based on the specialties at each campus. For example, northwestern is more focused on research and design while mit focuses on technology/ engineering. So even if the campus isn’t your favorite, the resources there will probably be more helpful. I’m not sure what the latest date to register is, but that seems like a valid question to email them about.
@mso123 Well that doesn’t sound too bad. You can’t do anything about it now, but if your application was good, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Who was your interviewer?
