MIT Launch 2018

I misheard the questions for 3 times…I felt bad after the interview anyway I still got accepted, so relax guys

I still haven’t gotten an interview yet. Are they done?

no views either

Should I do LaunchX or ■■■■■■■?

Not gonna lie, the accessibility to a member of the LaunchX team is not the best. It is hard to communicate with them about questions, and the contract that you have to sign is on a glitchy website that makes it impossible to do. I’ve obtained most of my info from this thread

Just wondering how long does it take for Launch to give you an offer (or rejection) after the interview? My interview was two days ago and still no word from them.

My friend got in UT Austin launchx. It is about $6500 . Is it worth it. Anyone else admitted to UT-Austin for this summer

@sac1 I will be attending as well! Also, I do recall asking my interviewer about the difference between the program at each campus, and she said that there really isn’t a difference except for the environment and surrounding. The curriculum should be similar, if not the same, throughout all four campuses. Each campus probably also has different resources, and I know that UT’s program will be at the flagship engineering building or something where you can experiment a lot with your prototype.

Uh about the $6500 I think it really depends on your friend if he/she is genuinely interested into it. I personally think its quite pricey, but I’m guessing the program would undoubtedly be a life-changing experience as well. Really depends how much he/she is invested in it I guess.

@atlas74 Don’t agree with the comment you posted. The Launch team has always been responsive when I’ve emailed them, usually getting back within a day or less. This is faster than I’ve seen from other programs of this size. Additionally, they always get back with a very thorough response that answers most questions outside of “did I get in?”

Aside from that, Docusign is one of the most trust-worthy and reliable sites for signing documentation online…it’s the go-to for the industry. I have not experienced any problems with the site, but if you have, Launch has absolutely no part in it.

@micrel I think there’s a reason the name is censored. Have you herd anything about that program? The reviews are very sparse.

@cche Took a week for me.

Hey guys! Just wondering that if you get an interview, does that mean you have a “large” possibility of getting in? (I’m not saying it’s guaranteed) Just finished with my interview and we talked for about 45mins. Is that good? I’m kinda nervous. Thanks guys!

I received my acceptance a few days after my interview.
Additionally, @oceantriumph many of the other programs that I have previously applied to have not used DocuSign. This is my first time encountering it. From my experience it is very difficult. Also, my decision is due in a few days and I still have not received word from the Launch team. Again, its just a difference in our experiences @oceantriumph but thank you for your input.

hey guys,
I applied to another summer program and got in but Launch is my first choice for the summer. I haven’t gotten an interview request yet, and I am not sure if they are done with interviews and if I should email them (but they also dont want you to so I am a bit conflicted?)
do u guys have any suggestions

My conflict is the exact opposite. I applied to another program and it is my first choice but I hear back after I have to make my Launch decision. I got into Launch but it is my second choice. What to do?

@studya I think you should wait until the day before you have to let the other summer program know about your decision, and if you still haven’t heard from Launch then just take that program.

Either they respond “you didn’t get in” and you end up at that program
“you got in” and you end up at Launch
“we still have not decided” then your choice if you want to wait or not.

Either way you are updated if you email.

Ah did bad on my interview, Sahar seemed salty / uninterested the whole time and she said I’ll get my results on April 16th, which is the day that rejections come out. I’m so worried now:(

@blackberries I got my acceptance on the last day that early decisions came out, don’t worry about the date

@blackberries I had Sahar too and she also said I’ll get my results on April 16th. But I got accepted one week after interview. No Worries.

I had Sahar too and I guess she’s just not that talkative person. My interview was on the 28th and I’m a little bit nervous now

@stuyda nope, still haven’t. I’m actually starting to get scared. Would they ever reject anyone without giving a chance for an interview?

Might the fact that I haven’t heard back have to do with the fact that I submitted I application literally 2 minutes before it was due?

Also, how long before the interview will they email me?
