So what do you think my chances are? Please let me know. Do not hesitate to be harsh or realistic in your posts. If there's anything else I should add, please let me know. Thanksin advance and good luck this year to all seniors applying RD.

Looks pretty good.

Nothing to critique. Great stats and everything. I think college admissions comes down to the intangibles now, aka "the hook". Most people usually have one hook that they use as a focal point in their app. If your hook is completely different and incredible than most applicants, your chances are much higher. Hey, but what do I know? I'm in your position right now too.

Just a suggestion, don't say that you take the "required" classes because you "have to". What would you have replaced it with? more APs? Stacking a whole bunch of AP's senior year is just crazy. I think colleges want you to keep your curriculum up, but it seems like your "required" classes should be enjoyable, which is what senior year is supposed be like. 5 AP classes is more than sufficient for senior year.

Did you get third place in state ICTM or regionals? And what division?

vupreuss06: well yeah I learned piano for 10 years, so I could pick-up guitar on my own. I took guitar because it is a break from APs. They programmed all 5 APs in a row for me so thank God guitar is there as a breather. Thanks for the suggestion. I wouldn't have replaced it with more APs. I probably would have taken video production instead, but alas I needed to take music. Speaking of hooks, I think I have a lot of leadership in something not like science club for an asian guy (not that those positions aren't respectable). But my hook is probably leadership and debate. I should emphasize how I helped turn our school's team around.

asiaknight: ICTM...I think A division regionals. We didn't get to state.
