I think I’m going to leave my ethnicity section blank. I’m actually a URM (white black Iranian mix) but I really don’t identity as any of those (I be weird). If I explain in my personal statement why, will leaving my race section blank in the beginning put my application at a disadvantage from the get-go, and admissions officers not even read the rest? Will they fully read my essay even if I don’t mark the race part? Thanks 
The ethnicity section is entirely optional.
