Molecular and Cellular Biology vs. Biotechnology

My D is interested in a career involving Genetics. Many schools offer Molecular and Cellular Biology either as a separate degree or an area of concentration in Biology within their College of Arts & Science, but some also offer a degree in Biotechnology from their College of Agriculture. The course requirements for each degree look nearly identical – perhaps a little more lab work in Biotechnology. Would anyone have insight into their differences in terms of focus and expected career paths.
