Molecular biology PhD program suggestions for someone with lots of research, low GPA?

Hi,
I just graduated from a strong liberal arts college in the Pacific Northwest with a mol bio degree and am starting to look into PhD programs in molecular biology or cancer biology-- I'm hoping to apply in 2013. I worked as a lab assistant in the biology department for two years, have lots of undergrad research experience (+ thesis senior year) in a cancer biology lab, currently work as a lab technician in the same undergrad lab, and hope to publish sometime next year.

However, I have a relatively low undergrad GPA-- barely a 3.0. From snooping around the web, I know strong research experience is more valued than GPA, but since my GPA is pretty much the minimum for being considered for most PhD programs, I'm not too sure how this offsets my chances for admission and has made looking for PhD programs where I'd be a fit overwhelming. I'd really appreciate any program suggestions!

By the way, I haven’t taken my GREs yet, and can definitely get two strong letters of rec.
