Hello! My D has pretty much completed her college dance applications/auditions. She has one left, but so far she has a lot of acceptances. She is still working out where she wants to go. She said she could see herself at pretty much any of the schools she auditioned at.
When choosing schools to audition at, she didn’t want to go too far from home and wanted to be in fairly close proximity to either NYC or Philadelphia. One of the schools she is looking at is Montclair State. I wanted to know if anyone had any insight into their dance program. Maybe some first hand knowledge of the caliber of dancers and their program. How do they like it? Do they feel challenged?
We did see a show when she visited. The show was good, one number in particular was fantastic! She liked some dances better than others. But we felt that way everywhere we went, so that isn’t something just to that school. She likes the proximity to NYC. She enjoyed the classes during the audition.
Would love to get some feedback on the program/school.
Thanks!
