more CR woes

With my first post on these forums I beg someone to help me slay the dreaded beast that is Critical Reading. Actually I'm not doing so badly but my question pertains to one of the specific sections of the CR component. There's one section with 2 long passages in it and for some reason i just cannot do well in that section. I usually get 1-2 wrong and omit another one in the other sections but this one particular section is just plain crazy. I dont even know whats so tough about it but I think the topcis themselves are just so vague and weird that its tough to find much evidence for the questions they ask. I think my biggest problem is with the fiction passage in this section. Any suggestions or tricks would be much appreciated, thanks.

Well, if you are getting 1-2 wrong, then that means you are understanding the passages well but making some careless errors. I think improvement in CR is a lot about how lucky you get with the passages: passages that interest you are passages you tend to do well on. My best advice is to take the passages and dissect them...looking for evidence in the passages that states why the correct answer is right and read carefully. Overtime, you'll definitely improve. Just keeping practicing.
