Morewood E Tower

How hot is this dorm in the winter? DS sleeps year-round at home (NY) with cotton quilt. I've been looking at the typical dorm comforter and sheet sets at BB&Beyond but I'm thinking he'll just be too hot with those. On the other hand, everyone else seems to be buying them. Any advice from someone who's lived there? Thanks.

All of CMU is on steam heat, and it’s pretty darned effective. I recall most of us had to regulate temperature by opening our window during the winter. I’d usually come home from classes and change into a pair of shorts it was so toasty.

(These experiences are in Donner and Scobell, but I seem to remember my friends from Morewood having a similar experience.)

I agree ^
When I went to visit any Morewood tower, it was always hot, so it’s really nice to invest in a fan for the first few and last few months when temps are in 70s-80s
I think one of the reasons being that the rooms and hallways are very small but contain a lot of kids (not only those who live there, but visiting friends and the like)

Thanks! Will stick with a quilt. Less bulky to pack too!
