"please, none of this tops my friend who applied to Johns Hopkins by accident."

i'm curious, please elaborate.

i was working in the computer room at my school on my Hopkins app, and my friend sits down next to me, we're talking about something, and he's like "what school is that for" and I was like "Johns Hopkins" and he goes "oh ****, I need to do that." And over the next week or so we're discussing the stupid $10 essay etc. And then he mails his apps in. The rest of this story is now secondhand from him. Our college counselor called him in one day and sais "Would you like to explain why Johns Hopkins is calling me asking me for my materials?" My friend doesnt know how to respond, and the counselor continues "Did you send an application to Johns Hopkins?" "yes" "We never discussed that school. I never recommended it as one you should look at, you never told me about any visits there, you didnt even tell me you were applying there!" I dont remember the other details about his conversation with our college counselor, but he summed it up by saying basically that he had after seeing my working on the application he for some reason thought he was applying there and had forgotten to work on it. He then sent in an application, and after my guidance counselor flipped out, he ended up sending in the rest of the materials.

di he get in?

Talk to your college counselor ASAP. He can probably work something out with Brown, especially if you actually had a good shot at getting in.

so i guess now would be a good time to ask about brown's transfer admit rates. does anyone know how its been for the past few years?
