I was accepted to tulane in november with the 25,000 presidential scholarship, and am still unsure if i am going.

However, i was wondering if there are a lot of mosquitoes in new orleans or on the campus?

This might seem like a silly question, but for some reason mosquitoes have a real attraction for me and I am often covered in bites during the summer. I don't think i would be able to deal with this year-round.

it’s all relative. where are you coming from?

As a Louisiana native, I can assure you even in my less-than-urban area, mosquitoes are not a problem year-round. Personally, I find they’re only an issue near large vegetated areas like sugarcane fields. I find there are few in New Orleans because it is urban.

Then again, like smile noted, it all depends on what you’re used to.

I also seem to attract them, and I have not had a problem in New Orleans or on campus. New Orleans also has a long history of proactive mosquito control.
