Are prep companies really not helpful from your experience or others’?

^ DO NOT USE PREP COMPANIES!!! TALK TO ANYONE WHO HAS EVERY USED EM! THEY SUCK!

However, you may want to consider an actual tutor who has a lot of experience. This may cost some $$$ though.

sorry for the angryness :)

I appreciate your candid opinion. :)

This is helpful! Thanks.

I agree with everyone else on here, prep courses are a waste of time and money. They’re only for people who need to be forced to sit down and study because they don’t have the drive to do it on their own.

Other than that, just practice practice practice and look at why you got a question wrong

use up the full 2 pages and get an automatic 10+. my essay was the biggest bs ever written, and i am in basic english and cannot write that well. but i did fill up the full 2 pages and was surprised when i got a 10.

Follow the TPR rules and grammar will be a cake walk! I got 800 in writing the first time!

Agree with posts on prep courses - they are very expensive with little gain for your dollar, unless you need to be forced to sit down and complete practice tests, but that is usually only one class per week so you, so you are on your own the rest of the week. Money is better spent on a qualified tutor (try your guidance counselor, or even the SAT prep course may have a list of tutors) who will focus in on your weaknesses, provide test strateiges and hopefully help to motivate you!! Practice is the key to success and understanding why you made your errors and working not to repeat them!!
