Most Important Factor

I was reading last year's offiicial EA Decision Thread, and found that scores are a very small factor compared to the essays. Ppl call the process random, but in reality it's not random at all...the interesting and unique ppl get in , not just the 2400 4.0 nerds!

So, those of us with excellent essays, and decent enough stats, will likely get accepted! OK, sry for that, just a thought!

Thanks; this gives me hope :P

Are you sure scores are a "very small factor"?

Eh. I'm pretty sure the whole process is this easy.

well, scores aren't "small," but the point is above 2200 it don't matter. It just gives u a chance, but doesn't make u stand out.

eh. now i'm worried about my essays

lots to worry about, eh. but yea, i agree than stanford is more personality-oriented.. they have a really low depression rate, i think.

Show your strong interest and sometimes it is more important than GPA or test scores.

Stanford explicitly stated that they don't factor in/take into account interest in the school.
...
but yeah, show passion, for the 123981279352345214th time. we all know by now, right?
