Most of my activities I started junior year- will this reflect negatively?

Long story short: I spent most of my 9-10 grade years in "fluff" clubs and activities while reading ferociously on the side. These were more development years, where I was able to pinpoint my interests through the books / articles I read. So all of my non fluff activities that I truly care about are 11-12.

Is this as large of an issue as I'm making it out to be in my head? I know there are plenty of students that have been on fire about one specific interest from ninth grade on and I worry I won't stack up / it will look like I panicked and got involved at the last minute (definitely not the case).

also worth noting: I switched schools every year 9-11. 11-12 I jumped to online school so I could invest in my activities without fear I would have to drop them to move again.

Planning to apply to H scea.

If the online school clearly helped you pursue interests, your situation may very well help you with admissions. You don’t say what your activities were but dedication to a “passion” is always appealing to colleges.

Hello!
I have taken on a lot of new activities throughout my HS career, so I wouldn’t worry so much about this being an issue. Especially where you switched schools so much, that’s very understandable. Best of luck to you!
