<p>well...........I can't personally say i am an extreme on any end, although i got rejected by 3 schools, 2 of which i was really into attending, 3 waitlists, sure there are more to come and 5 acceptance, 4 matches and 1 surprise reach. Waiting on two. The biggest surprises in our school/community, a friend who got into Cornell with a 1900 sat, fair grades, got into some hotel type program/school, family friend who had legacy on both ends, dad a wharton grad, he was like #5 out of his 230 person class, outstanding scholar student, athlete,etc..........applies ED to Penn, GETS REJECTED, flat out not even a waitlist! And last, ditz girl at our school gets into NYU STERN, NO ONE is getting this one, there is a joke going around that the students are getting together to pool their money and launch an investigation, something is fishy with this one...............any surprises for you? Remember this was a tough year, the baby boomers kids have arrived, hence the huge surge in applications and this will continue until 2009! OUCH. Best of luck to you all.</p>
<p>last year, girl got taken off Columbia waitlist like 2 weeks into August right before her other school started... she withdrew and lost her deposit to go to Columbia</p>
