I read on the Peabody College page that the Human and Organizational Development major is "Vanderbilt's most popular undergraduate major". Does this mean that the Peabody College is the most popular college at Vanderbilt as opposed to the College of Arts and Science? This strikes me as unusual, so I am just wondering if anyone has any more information on this. Thanks.

noo actually the peabody has the less people than the other colleges like around 350 while the art sciences has like way more than that…i can remember the exact number but it was like twice as muhc or even more. i guess most everyone at peabody does hod and so thats why its the most popular major but not the most popular college?

Yeah, CAS has to be the largest college.

Scroll down the page on that link to get the numbers. In general, if you google Vanderbilt University Common Data Set you can find a lot of information about the student body.

CAS is the largest. Peabody is much smaller, but slightly larger than Engineering. Blair is by far the smallest.

Well it’s still possible for HOD to be the most popular major, even if Peabody isn’t the largest college. A&S has a much larger selection of majors and if Peabody only has a few, then it’s quite possible for the few people in Peabody, of which most are HOD, to be a plurality of the rest of campus…
